Hadise Açıkgöz, (born October 22, 1985 in Mol, Belgium), best known as just Hadise, is a TMF award winning Belgian-Turkish R&B singer-songwriter and an occasional presenter.
In 2005, Hadise released her debut album, "Sweat". The album spawned 5 hit singles, most noticably the singles "Milk Chocolate Girl", "Bad Boy" and "Stir Me Up", for which Hadise won a TMF Award in Belgium and an "Altın Kelebek" (Golden Butterfly) award in Turkey.[1]
She then released her self-entitled studio album, "Hadise", in both Belgium and Turkey, which spawned the hit singles "A Good Kiss/"Deli Oğlan", "My Body" and "Aşkkolik".
She is currently in the process of making her third studio album and also preparing to represent Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song "Düm Tek Tek". Hadise will be the first singer not born in Turkey to represent the country.
She is known for the unique songs, which experiment with R&B and dance music. She is also the lyricist for most of her songs which earned her critical acclaim
